These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the KisanCard website and service at kisanfarmerid.in ("KisanCard", "we", "us"), operated by [Legal business name], [Registered address]. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
KisanCard lets registered operators (village service centres, CSC/VLE operators and similar businesses) prepare and download printable Farmer ID information cards using details provided by the farmer, and lets anyone verify a card online through its QR code.
2. Not a government service
KisanCard is a private service. It is not a government website and is not affiliated with, authorised or endorsed by the Government of India, any State Government, AgriStack, UIDAI or any government body. A KisanCard card is an unofficial information card for personal reference only; it is not an official identity document and must not be presented or sold as one. If the government issues an official farmer card, that official card prevails.
3. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract under Indian law.
- You register with your own mobile number, verified by one-time password (OTP), and must keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity in your account.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, misuses farmers' data or is used for fraud.
4. Operator responsibilities
- Obtain the farmer's informed consent before entering their details and photo, and explain clearly that the card is unofficial and not a government document.
- Enter only true and accurate information supplied by the farmer. You are responsible for errors in the details you enter.
- Use the farmer's Aadhaar number and personal data only to prepare that farmer's card, in line with the Aadhaar Act, 2016 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Do not copy, sell or share it.
- Do not charge farmers misleadingly or misrepresent the card as an official document.
5. Fees and payment
- The current fees are ₹20.00 per new card and ₹20.00 per correction, in Indian Rupees. The applicable fee is always shown before you pay. We may change fees in future; changes never affect payments already made.
- Payments are processed by our payment gateway partner, PayU, using UPI, debit/credit cards, net banking or wallets. We do not see or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or banking passwords.
- A card is generated only after the payment is confirmed by the payment gateway.
- Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy; delivery by our Delivery Policy.
6. Corrections
An issued card can be corrected from the operator's account by paying the correction fee. The corrected card keeps the same QR/verify code. If a card is wrong because of an error on our side, we correct it free of charge.
7. Card verification
The public verification page shows only limited details (name, Farmer ID number and issue date) to confirm that a card was issued through KisanCard. It never shows Aadhaar numbers or addresses.
8. Intellectual property
The KisanCard name, logo, website, card design and software belong to us. You may print and hand over cards generated for your farmers, but you may not copy, resell or imitate the service or its design.
9. Prohibited use
You must not use KisanCard to create false or misleading cards, impersonate anyone, collect data without consent, attack or overload the website, or break any law.
10. Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by incorrect information entered by an operator. Our total liability for any claim relating to a transaction is limited to the amount paid for that transaction.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these Terms, from data you entered without consent, or from misrepresentation of a card.
12. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how we protect it.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at [City, State for jurisdiction] have exclusive jurisdiction. Please contact us first — most issues are resolved quickly.
